Ambassador Rachad Bouhlal hosted the Governor of Gifu Prefecture, Mr. FURUTA Hajime, and the Honorary Consul of Morocco in Gifu, Dr. YAMADA Jitsuhiro, at the Residence of Morocco.

Governor FURUTA and Dr. YAMADA traveled to Tokyo to present their condolences following the earthquake that struck Morocco on September 8, and gave donations collected in the Prefecture to support Morocco’s efforts to recover from the aftermath of the Al-Haouz earthquake.

Ambassador Bouhlal expressed to Governor FURUTA and Dr, YAMADA his gratitude for the solidarity and generosity of the Japanese people in general and of Gifu in particular, recalling the strong and deep relations of friendship that exist between Gifu’s Prefecture and Morocco.
